On July 20th through the 23rd, hundreds of Arizona school business officials and other education professionals will come together for one of the largest and most comprehensive professional development conferences in Arizona. The Arizona Association of School Business Officials (AASBO) will be holding their 58th Annual Conference and Exposition in Tucson, Arizona.

The AASBO’s annual conference offers more than sixty informative breakout sessions on timely and informative topics directly related to the school business management profession. In addition, nationally renowned keynote speakers have included leaders in educational leadership and motivational experts, think tanks and the organizational advocates.

Three of the highly anticipated presentations at this year’s event are being given by a renowned building science expert from Clark Seif Clark (CSC). CSC will be presenting as a guest of East Valley Disaster Services (EVDS), a corporate sponsor of this event.

Derrick Denis, V.P. Indoor Environmental Quality at Clark Seif Clark, is providing all three important presentations on Thursday, July 21, 2011. They include:

  • The Big 3: Common Environmental Issues Facing Schools; Asbestos, Mold and Water Incursion
  • All that Glitters is not Gold; Sometimes It’s Mercury: Mercury Issues on School Campuses
  • How Can We Have Poor Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) in Our Well Maintained Buildings?

CSC looks forward to deliberating with the committed educational professionals who keep Arizona’s schools operating safely for our children and teachers,” reported Mr. Denis. “AASBO was founded in 1954 as a non-profit organization. Since then, it has helped educate school administrators and other educational professionals about a wide variety of topics, including the multitude of environmental issues that, if ignored, can directly and indirectly disrupt the learning process,” he continued.
